Cross Country Skiing in the Dolomites

The Pragsertal sorroundet by the Dolomites, is a paradise for lovers of cross country skiing. The landscape near the Three Peaks boasts 200 km of cross-country skiing with all levels of difficulty for beginners and experts – a veritable paradise for lovers of this sport. Alta Pusteria is renowned for its fantastic cross-country skiing – both classic and skating – which lead through “the most beautiful valley in the world” at the time of the legendary Lake Braies or one of the many mountains . The nordic stadium in Dobbiaco, which is accessible by cross-country ski, for professionals are other examples of the many possibilities that the region offers on skiers .
 
The famous cross-country skiing slope on the Prato Piazza , located at 2000 meters , with fantastic views of the surrounding peaks of the Dolomites has the ring of 6 km. The scenic trail on the beautiful plateau at the foot of the mountain Dürrenstein and Croda Rossa is without doubt one of the most beautiful trails in South Tyrol. The circuit is very varied and not too difficult. The best athletes in the country and biathlon complete their training on the Prato Piazza. Thanks to the height of the path even in late winter is snow secure.

Skiing in Val Pusteria

Ski Area Alta Pusteria: 7 Areas ski, snow guaranteed!
In Alta Pusteria there are 31 lifts and 77 km of slopes and that are equipped with artificial snow cannons. These trails are also part of the Dolomiti Superski area, with a total of 450 lifts and 1,220 km of slopes.
